As part of Xbox Product Services (XPS), The Gaming Data Services (GDS) team, as part of the XPS Xbox organization, is responsible for empowering Gaming decisions via Data, Tools, Analytics & A/B Experimentation to accelerate gamers reach and improve experiences, happiness, and engagement across devices.

If any of these words aligns with your passion, this could be the position you are looking for as the Gaming Data Services team is looking for a talented engineer who is aspired to make data as the oxygen of the Gaming organization. In this role the engineer will be partnering closely with feature developers, program managers and data scientists to utilize petabytes of data and translate them into actionable insights through A/B Experimentation. Furthermore, the engineer will be accountable for building and operationalizing critical components and tools to ensure the data coming in and going out are at highest data quality and integrity. In the end state, the data services built and operated by this engineer would rival the absolute best in the industry in engineering, operations, and usability excellence.

Have strong passion in building reliable, accurate Gaming data in supporting A/B Experimentation and Xbox Safety features that powers end-to-end user scenarios and used in business decisions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS in operations, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other technical/quantitative discipline

1+ years of BI or software development experience using MS or industry technologies

1+ years of experience developing SSAS tabular models with large and complex datasets

Strong proficiency in DAX, SQL, Excel, Power BI

Excellent problem solving, critical thinking skills, and communication skills

Optional Qualifications:

Azure and big data processing tools experience highly valued

Machine Learning, Data Science, and statistical modeling experience highly valued
