Our team is defining and building a completely new people-centric platform for Microsoft 365 apps, integrated with M365's most used hubs like Office, Outlook, and Teams. As we shape the future of M365 apps we need your help in defining a new platform to enable amazing new experiences for our customers.

We are looking for creative and collaborative engineering leaders with a track record of delivering top quality products, demonstrating leadership in high performing teams, and cultivating diverse and inclusive team cultures that grow and develop engineering talent. This position will lead one of multiple teams that together make up our platform services effort. You will partner with other leaders in the platform services group to both deliver new service offerings for our platform as well as working to replace and/or update existing offerings. The primary customers of our service offerings include some of the most widely used products Microsoft offers. This position will have the opportunity to build and launch services that require extremely high scale and quality.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively both cross discipline as well as cross organization to help deliver new service offerings core to the platform of the initiative.

Driving through ambiguity and create clarity for your team.

Create well architected technical designs and work to bring them to reality through close team collaboration and technical leadership.

Foster a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.

Hire, build, mentor, and motivate a strong team of developers while inspiring them to do something amazing.

Qualifications

8+ years of industry experience in full-stack or back-end software development using C#, Java, JavaScript, or other high-level programming languages.

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.

Proven track record of engineering leadership and management.

Ability to design, architect, and drive the development of large features or functionality.

Successfully led efforts launching and running high scale services.

Excellent technical, cross-group collaboration and communication skills.
